Victim: Claude Norman ‘Tuck’ Strausser

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Norman Strausser. Deputies responded to a residence in the 10400 block of Hwy 185 in unincorporated Franklin County for a report of a missing person. During a search of the property surrounding the residence, deputies located the body of Norman Strausser (age 75) in some water at the bottom of a cistern. An autopsy showed Norman had died from drowning.

After a thorough investigation, there was nothing to indicate foul play. It is believed Norman accidentally slipped or fell into the cistern and drowned.
