The East St Louis Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the deaths of Donnell Montgomery and Leander Gregory. At approximately 7:00am, police officers responded to a residence in the 3200 block of North Park Drive for a report of a possible homicide. There they located Donnell Montgomery (age 28) and Leander Gregory (age 53) inside the residence where they had been killed.
