The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of a 33 year-old man. The man had been reported as a missing person on 10/19/2000 with the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department after not being seen since 10/13/2000. As a detective was investigating the man’s disappearance, he located the man’s body in a vacant overgrown-weeded lot at the intersection of Donna Dr and Lorraine Dr, Cahokia, IL dead from a gunshot wound. After a thorough investigation, it was determined the man died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
