The St. Ann Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Brandi Roussin. At approximately 2:08pm, police officers responded to Dirt Cheap Cigarettes and Beer (10201 Saint Charles Rock Rd) for a report of shots fired. There they located employee Brandi Roussin (age 25) who had been shot in the parking lot and was pronounced dead on scene. It was determined Brandi was 17 weeks pregnant at the time of her death. The unborn child did not survive.
As a result of this investigation, the following criminal charges were issued in Brandi’s death:
Brandi’s former co-worker, Paul Rollen (age 31) - Murder 2nd Degree (2 counts - 1 count for Brandi, 1 count for her unborn child), Robbery 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action. He was arrested on a no-bond warrant.
Donnell Williams (age 30) - Murder 1st Degree (2 counts - 1 count for Brandi, 1 count for her unborn child), Robbery 1st Degree, and Armed Criminal Action. He was arrested on a no-bond warrant.
