Suspect: James Joseph Heidebur

The Warren County Sheriff’s Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Timothy Owens. At approximately 11:50am, deputies responded to Rt 1, Truxton, MO for a report of suspicious circumstances. The caller said they saw a large pool of blood in the front yard, a trail of blood leading into a wooden area behind the house, and a possible human body. There deputies located Timothy Owens (age 36). He had been shot and was pronounced dead on scene.

As a result of this investigation, James Heidebur (age 18) was charged with Murder 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action. He was arrested on a no-bond warrant.
