The Wentzville Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the deaths of Hu-Tepa Young and Martisha Martin. Police officers responded to a residence in the 600 block of Scotti Lane for a report of two people deceased inside a closet. There they located Hu-Tepa Young (age 32) and his girlfriend, Martisha Martin (age 25) inside a bedroom closet. They had both been shot and were pronounced dead on scene.
As a result of this investigation, Jared Cole (age 17) was charged with Murder 1st Degree, Robbery 1st Degree, and Armed Criminal Action. He was arrested on a no-bond warrant.
