The Caseyville Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Kenneth Long. At approximately 6:38pm, police officers responded to the French Village Drive-In (8601 California Dr) for a report of a body. There they located the body of Kenneth Long (age 49) on the floor of an abandoned ticket office. His ankles were duct taped together and duct tape was over his head and eyes. He had been shot and was pronounced dead on scene. Kenneth was a dentist out of East St. Louis who had been reported missing on 05/01/2000.
As a result of this investigation, the following individuals were charged with 1st Degree Murder, Aggravated Unlawful Restraint, and Concealment of a Homicidal Death. Their bond was set at $1,000,000 each.
