The Jennings Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of John Connor. At approximately 11:59pm, police officers responded to a residence in the 7100 block of Beulah Avenue for a report of a disturbance. While officers were en route, they were advised the nature of the call had changed to a shooting with a possible injury. When officers arrived, they located John Connor (age 31) inside the residence. He had been shot and was pronounced dead on scene.
