The Creve Coeur Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Stuart Davis, Jr. At approximately 5:29pm, police officers responded to an apartment in the 12300 block of Creek Run Dry for a report of a possible sudden death. The apartment manager had conducted a well-being check at Stuart Davis Jr’s apartment when he did not show up for work. When officers arrived, they located Stuart Davis, Jr. (age 43) deceased inside the apartment. He had been bound with duct tape and wrapped in a blanket. It was later determined he had died from blunt trauma to the head and asphyxiation.
As a result of this investigation, Andrew Martin (age 23) and Nancy Johnson (age 41) were charged with Murder 1st Degree, Robbery 1st Degree, and Armed Criminal Action. They were both arrested on no-bond warrants.
