The Festus Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of James Stratton. At approximately 1:29am, police officers responded to 1176 West Gannon Drive for a report of a person down on the parking lot between Imo’s Pizza and Dohack’s Restaurant. When police arrived, they located the body of James Stratton (age 30) in the parking lot. He had been stabbed and was pronounced dead on scene. James was the owner of Imo’s Pizza.

As a result of this investigation, Imo’s Pizza employee, Jeffrey Moiser (age 17), was charged with Murder 2nd Degree, Robbery 1st Degree, and Armed Criminal Action. His bond was set at $500,000.
