The St Clair County Sheriff’s Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Ulyssee Barnett. At approximately 8:50am, a deputy on routine patrol in the 1200 block of North 71st Street near East St. Louis located a deceased female lying on a rock road. It was determined the female was Ulyssee Barnett (age 39) and she had been shot and killed.
