The Maplewood Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of George Green (age 76). At approximately 6:42pm, police officers responded to a residence in the 7200 block of Anna Avenue for a report of a person who had been killed. There they located George Green dead inside the residence from stab wounds. George’s body had been found by friends who went to his residence to check on him after not being able to contact him.

As a result of this investigation, Brenda Williams (age 30) was charged with Murder 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action. Her bond was set at $200,000.
