The St. John Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Hazel Warner (age 88). At approximately 9:46am, police officers responded to a residence in the 2700 block of Harrys Lane for a report of a sudden death. There they located Hazel Warner dead inside the residence. It was determined she had died from a stab wound.

As a result of this investigation, two male juveniles (ages 14) were arrested and charged with Violation of the Missouri Juvenile Code by Murder 1st Degree.
