The Jennings Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Thomas Grimi (age 31). At approximately 3:58am, police officers responded to the 7000 block of Garesche Avenue, for a report of of a man down in the street. There they located Thomas Grimi lying in the street. He was taken to the hospital where he died from blunt trauma injury.
As a result of this investigation, Derrick Cobb (age 34) was charged with Murder 2nd Degree. His bond was set at $250,000.
