The St Charles City Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Nancy Kitzmiller (age 24). At approximately 2:30pm, police officers responded to Boot Village (2079 Zumbehl Road) for a report of a possible homicide of the store sales clerk. There they located employee Nancy Kitzmiller in the rear office of the business. She had been shot and was pronounced dead on scene.
It is believed Nancy may have been a victim of the I-70 serial killer.
