The Beverly Hills Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Alvin Foster (age 36). At approximately 1:45am, police officers responded to a residence in the 6800 block of Myron Avenue for a report of a suspicious person knocking on the front door. When officers arrived on scene, they located Alvin Foster lying in the front yard. He had been shot and was pronounced dead on scene.
As a result of this investigation, Kwan Johnson (age 20) was charged with Murder 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action. He was arrested on a no-bond warrant.
