The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Opal Neely (age 70). At approximately 10:41am, deputies responded to a residence in the 4300 block of Old Gravois Road (House Springs, MO) for a report of a possible homicide. There they located Opal Neely. She had been stabbed and her clothes had been set on fire. She was pronounced dead on scene.
