The Pine Lawn Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Carl Willis (age 42). At approximately 2:29am, police officers responded to the 6200 block of Greyling Drive for a report of a shooting. There they located Carl Willis sitting in the driver’s seat of a 1985 Ford Tempo. He had been shot multiple times. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
As a result of this investigation, Charles Sanders (age 28) was charged with Murder 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action. He was arrested on a no-bond warrant.
