The Jennings Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Donald Hoover (age 61). At approximately 6:18pm, police officers responded to an alley in the 5200 block of Hodiamont Avenue for a report of a possible accidental injury with a man down. There they located Donald Hoover lying in the alley with a head injury. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. It was later determined he had died from a gunshot wound.
