The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Alvin Segelbohm (age 69). At approximately 8:16pm, deputies responded to Betty Hill Drive near Route 30 in the area of unincorporated House Springs, MO for a report of a brush fire. When deputies arrived on scene, they realized it was actually a brown 1981 Cadillac on fire. When firefighters opened the trunk to finish extinguishing the flames, the body of Alvin Segelbohm was located inside the trunk. An autopsy determined Alvin had died from a skull fracture prior to his vehicle being set on fire.
