The Cahokia Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Kathryn Musial (age 21). At approximately 2:15am, a police officer on routine patrol was flagged down by an individual who had gone to visit Kathryn Musial at her residence and found her deceased. The officer went to Kathryn’s residence in the 100 block of Blue Water Lane where he located Kathryn deceased inside her residence. Her throat had been cut and she had been strangled.
