The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the deaths of Robert Langsdorf (age 21) and Madonna Lakebrink (age 18). At approximately 7:30am, deputies responded to the area of Allen Road just south of Winter Park for a report of a car with blood on it and a man lying in the ditch. There deputies located Robert Langsdorf with his hands tied behind his back and Madonna Lakebrink on the ground outside their vehicle. They had both been shot and stabbed and were pronounced dead on scene.
As a result of this investigation, Gleen Menser (age 19) was charged with two counts of Murder 1st Degree.
