The Jennings Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Blanche Woods (age 82). At approximately 5:05am, a police officer on routine patrol located a woman lying in the parking lot of the Appliance Store (6602 West Florissant Avenue). The woman was identified as Blanche Woods. She had been killed and was pronounced dead on scene.
