The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Edward Gibbons (age 7). At approximately 4:15pm, deputies responded to an abandoned farmhouse located on Highway O approximately 1/2 mile west of the Jefferson County line (near Pacific, MO) for a report of a found body. There they located the body of Edward Gibbons. Edward had been reported missing on 10-07-1970 to the St. John Police Department.
