The Madison Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Levell Douglas (age 37). At approximately 8:52am, officers responded to the alley in the 1600 block of 5th Street for a report of a found body. There they located Levell. who had been shot and was pronounced dead on scene.
As a result of this investigation, Taylor Nelson (age 25), was charged with Obstructing Justice/Destroy Evidence and Aggravated Unlawful Use of Weapon/Vehicle in connection with Levell’s death.
