Suspects: Garron Amon Stevenson and a 17 year-old male
The Bridgeton Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Gerardo Perez (age 15). At approximately 8:30pm, officers responded to the area of Highway 141/Earth City Expressway and Corporate Woods Drive for a report of approximately 100 cars driving recklessly. Upon arriving on scene, police officers were met with gunfire as vehicles were attempting to flee the area. Multiple people, including Gerado Perez, were shot. Gerado was transported to the hospital where he died from his injury. The other individuals survived their injuries.
As a result of this investigation, the following criminal charges were issued:
Garron Stevenson (age 19) - Murder 2nd Degree (1 count), Armed Criminal Action (4 counts), Unlawful Use of Weapon (1 count), and Assault - 1st Degree (3 counts) - Bond $1,000,000
17 year-old male - Murder 2nd Degree
