The Belleville Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Paul Kirby (age 38). At 1:21am, police officers responded to a residence in the 400 block of S. 29th Street in response to a 911 call. There they located Paul Kirby inside the residence. He had been shot and was pronounced dead on scene.
Investigators are looking for a silver-colored 2014-2018 Jeep Cherokee which has been identified as a vehicle of interest.
