The Clinton County Sheriff’s Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of a 37 year-old man. On 03-06-2021, the man had been listed as a missing person with the Centralia Police Department. On 03-07-2021, the man’s body was located in a retention pond in the 8000 block of Jolliff Bridge Rd, Centralia, after some of his personal belongings were located floating in the pond. An autopsy showed a fatal injury to the man’s throat.

After an extensive investigation into the man’s death, no suspects were developed and no foul play was discovered. The results were turned over the Clinton County Coroner to make a final determination as to the cause of death.
