The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Zachary Tripp. At approximately 1:00pm, deputies responded to the area of 1500 block of East Marriott St. Barnhart, MO. There they found Zachary Tripp (age 40) deceased in a field.
As a result of this investigation, Christopher Sokolic Jr. (age 27) was charged with Murder 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action. Sokolic was arrested on a no-bond warrant.
