The Cahokia Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Lamondo Brown. At approximately 10:19pm, police officers responded to the intersection of Williams and Ellen for a call of a man down. When they arrived on scene, officers found Lamondo Brown (age 24) on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound. Lamondo was transported to the hospital where he died.
As a result of this investigation, Ramone Parker (age 23) was charged with 1st Degree Murder. His bond was set at $750,000.
