The Collinsville Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Daniel Taylor. At around 8:05pm, police officers responded to the 600 block of Ostle Drive after family members had located Daniel Taylor (age 68) deceased inside his residence. Officers located Daniel deceased inside his residence with a neck laceration and multiple stab wounds.
As a result of this investigation, Jessie Werley (age 34) and Eva Heisch (age 44) were each charged with three counts of First Degree Murder and one count of Armed Robbery. They each had bond set at $1,000,000.
