The Cahokia Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Cassandra Holman. At around 4:00am, police officers responded to the 100 block of Kenneth Avenue for a report of a break-in. Cassandra Holeman (age 45) was shot during a home invasion at her residence and managed to run to a neighbor’s house for help. She was transported to the hospital where she died. Another person was also shot and had non-fatal injuries.
As a result of the investigation, the following criminal charges were issued:
Torrence Neal (age 25) - 1st Degree Murder and Aggravated Battery-Discharge of Firearm. Neal’s bond was set at $750,000.
Antrell Teen (age 31) - 1st Degree Murder and Aggravated Battery-Discharge of Firearm. Teen’s bond was set at $500,000.
