The Bethalto Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Tabitha Milton-Rush. On 01-05-2013 at around 9:03am, police officers responded to the area of I-255 near Illinois Route 140 after a caller reported finding a body laying down an embankment off the highway. Officers located Tabitha Milton-Rush (age 44) who had been shot in the head. It is believed she was shot on 01-01-2013 and then transported to the location where she was found.
As a result of this investigation, Raamon Reed (age 46) was charged with 1st Degree Murder and Concealing a Homicidal Death. His bond was set at $1,000,000.
