The Lincoln County Sheriff's Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Bonnie Brown. At approximately 10:29am, police officers responded to Sweet Street in Winfield for a 911 call reporting a break-in and murder. There officers found Bonnie Brown (age 77) deceased on scene. She had been strangled to death.
As a result of this investigation, William Galvin (age 50) was charged with Murder 2nd Degree with a bond of $250,000. He was also charged with Financial Exploitation of the Elderly with a bond of $50,000.
