The Belleville Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Marquise Griffin. On 07-11-2010 at approximately 10:40pm, police officers responded to the 500 block of North 4th Street for a report of a shooting. There they found Marquise Griffin (age 15) on the ground. He was pronounced dead on scene from a gunshot wound.
As a result of this investigation, the following individuals were charged in Marquise’s death:
Marlon E. Fluker Jr. (age 22) - 1st Degree Murder - Bond was set at $2,000,000
Marlon E. Fluker Sr. (age 42) - Unlawful Possession of Weapons and Mob Action - Bond was set at $10,000
