The Festus Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of a 46 year-old man. At approximately 10:42am, police officers responded to a residence in the 200 block of North 3rd Street for a report of possible suicide. There they located the man deceased from a stab wound. After a thorough investigation, it was determined he had committed suicide.
