The Collinsville Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of William Giedeman. At approximately 4:19pm, police officers responded a residence in the 100 block of Kenwood for a report of a missing person. A family member was reporting the resident, William Giedeman (age 67) was missing. As the missing person report was being taken, neighbors located William’s body behind his residence partially covered up.
As a result of this investigation, Jared Mugrage (age 29) was charged with 1st Degree Murder, Concealment of a Homicidal Death, Possession of Stolen Motor Vehicle (for stealing Wiliam’s 2000 green Mercury Marquis), and Forgery (for forging a check belonging to William for $1,150). His bond was set at $1,000,000.
