The Clayton Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Tim Welch. At approximately 9:51am, police officers responded to the Heritage Building (10 S. Brentwood Blvd) for a call of a possible sudden death. There officers located Tim Welch (age 49) inside one of the offices. He was dead from a gunshot wound.
As a result of this investigation, Tim’s friend, Lowry Terry (age 61), was charged with Murder 2nd Degree, Robbery 1st Degree, and Armed Criminal Action. His bond was set at $500,000.
