The Jennings Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the deaths of Angela Rowe, Alexus Conley, AcQreya Conley and Tyrese Conley. Police officers responded to a residence in the 2000 block of Park Lane for a well-being check after family members had been unable to contact the residents for several days. There officers located Angela Rowe (age 28), Angela’s daughters, Alexus Conley (age 10) and AcQreya Conley (age 6), and Angela’s son, Tyrese Conley (age 5) inside the residence. They had all been shot and killed.
As a result of this investigation, Angela’s boyfriend, Leonard Taylor (age 40), was charged with 4 counts of 1st Degree Murder and 4 counts of Armed Criminal Action. He was arrested on a no-bond warrant.
