The Country Club Hills Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Calvin McGee. At approximately 10:25pm, police officers responded to a residence in the 5600 block of Leverette Avenue for a report of a shooting. When police arrived, they located Calvin McGee (age 25) who had been shot numerous times in the face and torso. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. It was determined Calvin had been shot when he answered the door to his residence.
As a result of this investigation, the following criminal charges were issued in connection with Calvin’s death:
John Webb (age 19) - Murder 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action. John was arrested on a no-bond warrant.
Zachary Jones Jr (age 18) - Conspiracy Murder 1st Degree. Zachary was arrested on a no-bond warrant.
