The Ferguson Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Lillian McKendall. At approximately 4:57pm, police officers responded to a residence in the 1300 block of Sharondale Circle for a report of an unresponsive female. When police arrived, they located Lillian McKendall (age 37) deceased inside the residence. It was determined she had been strangled.
As a result of this investigation, Anthony Winfield (age 31) was charged with Murder 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action in Lillian’s death. His bond was set at $500,000.
