The Pontoon Beach Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Nancy Bennett (age 28). At approximately 4:55am, police officers responded to Huck’s Convenience Store (4086 Pontoon Road) for a report of a woman down. There they located employee Nancy Bennett on the floor behind the cashier counter. She was airlifted to St. Louis, MO for medical treatment due to her head injuries. She died the following morning.
