Suspect: Darrell Jeffrey Cornell

The Kinloch Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Leon Wilder Sr (age 45). At approximately 1:34pm, police officers responded to a parking lot between 5553 Martin Luther King Drive and 5555 Martin Luther King Drive for a report of a shooting. When they arrived on scene, the victim, Leon Wilder Sr, had already been driven by private vehicle to the hospital. Officers learned Leon had been shot and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

As a result of this investigation, Darrell Cornell (age 24) was charged with Captial Murder. He was arrested on a no-bond warrant.
