The Woodson Terrace Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the deaths of Dawn Wiles (age 27) and her son, Timothy Wiles (age 3). At approximately 1:40am, police officers responded to an apartment in the 9900 block of Sloane Square for a report of a possible homicide. There they located Dawn and Timothy Wiles inside the residence. Dawn had been repeatedly stabbed and Timothy’s throat had been cut. They were pronounced dead on scene.

As a result of this investigation, Dawn’s husband and Timothy’s father, David Wiles (age 27) was charged with two counts of Capital Murder. His bond was set at $1,000,000.
