The Cool Valley Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of William Jackson (age 31). At approximately 1:05am, police officers responded to a party at a residence in the 8400 block of Fresno Court for a report of a shooting. There they located William Jackson who had been shot and was pronounced dead on scene.

As a result of this investigation, Cedric Rhone (age 23) was charged with Capital Murder.
