The Overland Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Sol Finkelstein (age 63). At approximately 11:52pm, an officer on routine patrol was flagged down by the store manager of the 905 International Liquor Store (1939 Woodson Road) who stated the alarm company called him because the business’ security alarm had not been armed for the night. When the manager arrived at the store, he noticed things seemed out of place, so he left to contact the police. When police officers entered the business, they located the night manager, Sol Finkelstein, deceased from blunt force trauma. Sol’s vehicle was discovered to have been stolen off the parking lot.
