The Cahokia Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the deaths of Howard Tracy (age 33) and Michael Moore (age 33). At approximately 4:57am, police officers responded to Queen of Diamond’s Tavern (901 Water Street) for a report of two people in a car with the doors open and blood all over the individuals. There officers located Howard Tracy and Michael Moore inside a gray 1977 Pontiac Firebird on the parking lot. They had both been shot. Howard Tracy was pronounced dead on scene. Michael Moore was transported to the hospital where he died 3 days later.
