The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Mary Watters (age 83). At approximately 10:15am, deputies responded to a residence on Hwy N in Robertsville, MO after being called there by family members. There they located Mary Watters inside the residence. She had been shot and was pronounced dead on scene.

George Gilmore (age 33) was charged with Capital Murder in Watters’ death.
