The O’Fallon Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of a 12 year-old boy. At approximately 1:00pm, police officers responded to a residence in the 400 block of Agnes Drive. There they located a 12 year-old boy lying in the yard of the residence. He had been shot and was pronounced dead on scene. After a thorough investigation, it was determined the boy had died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
