The Richmond Heights Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Lawrence Goldstein (age 34). At approximately 8:45am, police officers responded to a parking lot at the Westroads Plaza Shopping Center (1025 South Brentwood Boulevard) for a report of 1975 Oldsmobile Regency parked on the lot with an odor coming from it. When officers arrived on scene, they could smell an odor emitting from the trunk. They discovered the vehicle belonged to Lawrence Goldstein who had been reported missing 08/23/1976. Lawrence’s body was discovered inside the trunk. He had been shot and was pronounced dead on scene.
